New Newz!

Tie-dye 006  Sea Life Reports

We have been paired up in groups of 2, and one group of 3. We have been studying tide pool animals, because we  are going to Titlow Beach. We studied, Limpets, Hermit Crabs, Chitons, Sea anemones, sea urchins, Sea stars, sunflower  sea stars, Gunnels, and ghost shrimp.  We had the choice of either doing a poster or making a power point. About half of the class made posters and half made power points.  We shared a couple of days ago.

Titlow Beach

We went to Titlow beach yesterday, 5-26-09. We were put in groups with a parent leader. Each group  was assigned to find 1 or 2 animals. Each group was successful and we found many other creatures. We had to fill out a worksheet about our creature(s) And special thanks to Coby’s parents, they went diving and pulled up some cool and special creatures that we normally wouldn’t  see. Thanks! J

 School Ending!

It is almost June, and school is wrapping up. We have less than a month, but we have lots of fun activities coming up for us. And maybe some parties, too. YAY! We are all excited for Summer to come, but we will miss all our friends that we don’t get to see, and of course, our awesome  teachers! See you next year!

Field TripsIMG_4388

In June we are going to JA BizTown . It’s a  mini world where kids get to be like an adult for a day. You can get a job and get paid and buy stuff and keep it FOREVER!!!!!.  In May we are going to Titlow Beach. We each got assigned an animal to research with a partner.

 Math Relay

Math relay is where you do an opsticale course and answer about 10 math facts. You go to other places and challenge other schools there are 100 other schools I think that’s a lot.

But first you have try out and if you make good job if you don’t then to bad.

 WASL

We have just finished doing the Reading, Math, and Writing WASL. I it was a lot harder than 3rd grade, but AWESOME!!!

Book Reports

This month  we are doing science experiments for book reports this month and Mr. Wolfe made something called gunk . It was sort of like silly putty.

Wolfe Pack Rules News :)

So you want to know what is going on in the Wolfe Pack?? The kid in the class withIMG_4233  the most Wolfe Bucks is……………Samantha S. with 418 Wolfe Bucks.  I would not like to audit her!

We have a new homework policy. The policy is if you have a late assignment you get a big fat“ F” in that subject. if you have 3 late assignments by the end of the week  or year you don’t get to participate in the next upcoming event like field day or the next field trip.

This week in math we are having a math test, well - we already had the math test. I hope everyone got a good grade on that.

April’s book report that really isn’t a book report, I mean we really don’t have to read a book, it is a – Science Project!

In writing we are finishing up our Harris Burdick stories! We have some people doing Missing in Venice, A Strange Day in July, and also Captain Tory, but there is much more!
